A New Year, a New You? (that old cliche)!

It's that time of year again when we start looking forward to the next 12 months and what they may have in store for us.

But we mustn't forget to look back over 2011 and to recognise what we've achieved so far. Personally, the last 12 months have been pretty darn eventful, I quit the 9-5 to start working for myself, tried and failed (several times) in the love department and got reconnected again with my big brother.

What I've learnt in 2011
  • It's ok to NOT have all the answers. I have really very little clue about what my career will be like or what I'll be doing. This is kinda liberating and pretty scary.
  • To enjoy the highs of life, you gotta sometimes experience the lows (boo sucks!)(e.g. meeting a "great" guy versus crying in the bakery aisle of my local supermarket when it all falls to pieces...(it wasn't pretty let me tell you))!

So my goals for 2012 are:
  • To continue on my career journey and see where it takes me...maybe onto a masters, maybe developing a website, maybe "life" coaching, who knows (I don't...ekkk)!
  • To meditate more (I only do 10 min sessions so I have NO excuse)!
  • To blog more (aiming for a weekly article, so time for me to get super disciplined)!
  • To be happy!! :)
To kick of the new year, here' a little TED talk which made me smile, (my favourite part is the escalator stunt .... wonder if I could do something similar in London)??

So happy New Year all and let's make 2012 the best yet!! WHOOP WHOOP!!
